all over in a day; all the hustle-bustle and hype that climax in one night, like fireworks that explode against a blanket of darkness with great finesse and drawing exclamations of awe and delight from the viewers.
dont ask me if it was romantic although liang already did. im biased. all weddings are romantic and i adore them, just as i love the idea of being a wedding planner and planning the perfect wedding for the couple so perfectly in love. i especially love hearing about those stories of marathon romances before marriage; the fact that they weathered and overcame change and time definitely beats any whirlwind we-met-and-fell-in-love-and-got-married-on-the-cruise romance. so im really happy for my cousin that she and maverick are finally married after more than ten years together.
so anyway, it was spectacularly beautiful. from the ornate bridal suite with windows that offered panoramic views of the surroundings and stocked with hors d'oeuvres etc etc to the singular silky rose petal aplenty. and it was fun fun fun! i came up with the make the groom do a cheer professing his love so loud that she should hear him upstairs with random props from the kitchen and garden, and they were really creative. drawing inspiration from the waltz during the wedding dinner, the groom actually put together the barang barang, created his bride and waltzed with her while his buddies sang, cheered and made music like the blue man group. best man chris was uber sporting, downed the disgusting cocktail in a shot. he did a really sexy pole dance too and he was my waltz partner but i think he's better with fast numbers because he kept spinning me around. and he has really lovely blue eyes. awww. chris' a charmer, a ladies' man.
