parabelo & lecuona by grupo corpo was extremely intense, on the eyes, the senses, the body. athletic forms displaying hip-swiveling samba-like exuberance, pirouettes with so much buoyancy and rampant joy and fiery bolds juxtaposed against nuances of impediment, dark brutality and rancour. longing, fervently felt in the strains of that lonesome voice, the enthralling yet haunting music, and consuming the lines of their movements. finale flowed; mesmerized hearts it definitely did. stage was dramatically transformed alive with a stunning backdrop of mirrors. six couples. the waltz. oh the beauty of life and love!
